ATTIRE - a change from the usual

The faithfully raccoon Shirt: ASOS (alternative patterned shirt here) Jeans: Topshop Shoes: New Look (really nice alternative here!)

So, I religiously buy Topshop Leigh Jeans. But recently my love for this style jean has declined. I find after the first few wears, where they look amazing, they seem to majorly stretch and need to be washed before each wear to get their shape back. This time round I've decided to go wild and try Topshop's Jamie Jeans. I have to say I'm so impressed and adore them! They're a much thicker material than I'm used to wearing, making them less 'jegging-like' like the Leigh style.
I'm still thinking about ombre'ing my hair...the fact that it would make my hair low maintenance is very tempting but I'm so scared it'll be too dark for my liking. So watch this space!

ATTIRE - similar taste

Hat: Acessorize (similar here) Kimono: Auntie's hand-me-downs Jumper: Primark Jeans: Topshop

For the upcoming spring/summer I have been on the look out for a kimono to replace my over reliance on cardigans. I haven't really found any online/ in stores that I particular think I'd wear enough to splash out on. However, weirdly...my auntie has passed down this kimono to me which pretty much fits the criteria without even knowing I was after one! I wanted to wear a navy blue top underneath but couldn't find one in my mountains of clothes. And so, I've just opted for a really plain all-black outfit, with of course, one of my trusty fedoras. I tell you what though - walking about town today I nearly lost my hat with the strong winds! (I would of been devastated)

ATTIRE - wishlist #3

Links for items: Jumper, Embellished Top, Clutch, One Sleeved Top, Shorts, Blazer.

OK so if you can't tell from the pictures, all these pieces are from the old favourite Zara! For Christmas my mum bought me a gift card to treat myself to something fancy, so I'm currently obsessing over the website to decide what to buy! And...as you can tell there are numerous items I would LOVE to purchase. I haven't been to Zara since the sales so haven't really seen much for the new collection, I saw a tiny corner worth of stock but not much else..yet! I can't decide whether to dedicate my card to one expensive item...or spend it across a few bits and bobs.. oh the stresses of a shop-o-holic.
I'm loving Zara's new collection purely because of all the different prints and textured they have to offer. I'm still searching for a new Zara bag, but none as of yet have caught my eye...I'm very much looking forward to going into a Zara store this weekend! (watch out bank account...)

ATTIRE - layer on layer

Jacket: H&M (similar here) Snood & Scarf: old old old I can't remember Jeans & Bag: Topshop
Today was a quick outfit, literally grabbing anything and throwing it on. I've had this blazer/ jacket for a while but haven't really worn, it's not really thick enough for frosty mornings. I'm liking how my bag, not purposefully, matches my car mwaha (you can see the front a tiny bit in the top corner). I thought I'd pop both scarf's on this morning as without the thinner scarf (which is actually my mum's old sarong) my grey t-shirt (from H&M), grey jacket and black jeans would be pretty depressing on a Monday morning!
I'm currently brain storming blog name ideas...obviously your name is quite original as it's fairly individualised, but I want something a bit more exciting and specific for my blog! I'm scared I'll finally decide on a name...and then want to change it again! Gahh! Any tips for choosing/ creating a blog name!?

ATTIRE - cobalt feelings

Hat: Miss Selfridge Top and Necklace: Dorothy Perkins Skort: Zara Boots: Next

I literally have a hat addiction!  Over the past few months I've purchased four (oops, not including bobble hats!) and I'm still eyeing up more! In Miss Selfridge at the moment they have a grey floppy hat with a black bow on which I'm bursting to buy...but I'm pretty sure I have enough now (*sob*). I also don't wear them enough to justify another splurge.

I've decided summer clothes e.g. this cobalt skort, cannot just sit in the bottom of my wardrobe waiting for the summer. Summer is such a short period of time in the year we really mustn't save clothes! I pretty much lived in this skort (alongside my red and white skort) last summer so they were all a great buy, I'm pretty sure Zara have released similar skort styles as last year and a few new designs! I normally wear really thick black tights on an everyday basis but recently I'd been daring enough to experiment with more opaque tights.  I bought this pleather top at the Trafford Centre (Manc) a fair while ago and hardly ever wear it, I kinda get nervous about mixing leathers...e.g. this top and leather boots...It's like mixing gold and silver jewellery- much a no no! But I think it works, right?

ATTIRE - ensemble

Hat: Accessorise Dress: Vintage/eBay Shoes: Primark

Where did January go?! I woke up this morning; looked at the time and realised it was the 2nd! Where did the 1st of February go?! I have so much to do and so little time ughh. I haven’t blogged many outfits recently mainly because of the crappy weather…and I’m snowed under with university work. Today’s weather is lush, love the winter sun! Thought I’d make the most of it and venture out for some blogging pics.

I have got a new obsession – eBay! Fortunately for me, clothes don’t sell for much on eBay so it’s an ideal place to grab a bargain. I managed to pick this vintage smock dress up for £3! Obviously buying clothing on eBay is a bit risky because of sizing but lucky smock dresses are pretty easy to pull off either way. I was quite surprised when this dress arrived as it’s that awkward length between top and dress…so you can’t wear it with jeans or tights on its own! (Underneath I’ve popped on a black bodycon skirt). I paired this dress with my Accessorise fedora hat I grabbed in the Boxing Day sales – I like how the purple picks out the shades of pink and purple from the dress.

I think I’ll have to be careful when wearing this dress – avoid a Marilyn Monroe moment!

Last night I went to a Great Gatsby house party for a friend’s birthday celebrations (I might blog my outfit, but check out my Instagram for a picture otherwise). To pull off the 1920’s look I used my Babyliss wand to create the ‘glamorous curls’. I haven’t curled my hair in ages let along use my wand! I forgot how long it takes and I have really thin hair…nevertheless I do love this hairstyle. It definitely helps my hair look thicker and have more volume, and maybe makes it look blonder?! I dunno, maybe that’s just the winter sun. My 1920/ Gatsby outfit featured another one of my eBay bargains. I (somehow?!) bought a brand new (with tags!) Miss Selfridge dress with a drop hem waist, really flattering and different to what I’d usually choose. I didn’t fancy spending much on accessorises as realistically I’d just loose them! So I bought a sequinned head band from Primark which is really gorgeous and I’m planning to wear it again throughout the festival season.

Are you fan of eBay?!
