ATTIRE - wishlist #6

being an impulse buyer, i never really have anything to put on a wishlist as anything i like i tend to buy straight away to save disappointment of it going out of stock etc.

i'm so glad zara has finally released its new collection and the sale obsession in store is dying off. the constant people, queues and mess drove me insaaaane. i love this zara bag (maybe khaki is my colour this autumn?) and it aint expensive! 

i spent ages deciding which of these next loafers to buy...do i go pale snake skin or pink? a massive decision as you can imagine. i went for the beige in the end...but later returned them in fear of the autumn weather just killing them off :(

 i'm not particularly a jewellery girl, i like my simple silver pieces but a part from that i'm not very adventurous. i thought this new look necklace (only £9.99) looked very 'zara' and could be worn with anything.

 finally the topshop midi skirt. after falling in love with a pleated midi skirt from dorothy perkins a few weeks a go, i am now on a mad hype for midi skirts. alike my duster coat worries, the midi length does shorten me. so i look for above the knee styles which are still classed as the midi!

ATTIRE - welcome to the wardrobe

i've been really jealous of Megan (from Pages by Megan) and Lydia (from Lydiafayejones) wearing longline duster coats and not looking swamped. being short, i never thought a duster coat would be an option for me so i've never really looked at them! but then i came across this beauty in bullring selfridges topshop. there were only a few left so i'd imagine they've been popular! 

i have "shoppers-block" at the moment. i feel there is nothing in the shops i desireeee...i've decided i need to try something different to what i'd usually opt for. i would normally choose a tailor jacket/ coat - which is, well more girly! so the khaki colour and cocoon shape caught my attention straight away.

ATTIRE - the lavish alice jumpsuit

did you know lavish alice do free next day delivery!? no, nor me! no minimum spend - no catch! so obviously i had a browse on the website and instantly fell in love with this jumpsuit. lavish alice are working on a size guide at the moment, but if you email your bust, waist and hip measurements they can advise which size to get! the jumpsuit is navy, with capped sleeves and has the crop top. to style the jumpsuit i have worn my primark chunky heeled sandals, zara orange bag and dorothy perkins cat eye sunglasses. i think the jumpsuit is very versatile, can easily be dressed up and down for several occasions.

ATTIRE - garden gnome

i looove this new look jacket but definitely do not wear it enough! because of all the different colours running through the jacket, i could wear it with so many different outfits :) i can foresee this jacket staying in my wardrobe for years and years...(the exact jacket is/was in the sale  but i've found some alternatives here and here)  i'm wearing my miss selfridge high waisted shorts which i bought last year for v festival (similar here), a plain h&m chiffon black and my beloved river island flatforms - i still haven't taken them off!

DIARY - birmingham half marathon

crossing the finish line of the worcester half marathon i  decided before the end of the year, i wanted to complete another half marathon. so recently, i signed up for the birmingham half marathon (19th october 2014) and will be running and raising money for cancer research uk.  i took so long to sign up because i couldn't choose a charity! i've started my training this week and this time i'm going to stick to it - i'm desperate to beat mine and harrisons time for the worcester half marathon...so watch this spaceeeee.

ATTIRE - night and day

the sun was in my way to much taking these photos :( out of 40 photos only these 3 were ok..booooo. blogging has taught me to be playful with clothes. so instead of saving this oh my love playsuit for just going out/clubbing , i've added a h&m t-shirt to make it a day wear piece too. and to make me less of a shortie, i'm wearing my river island flatforms toooo. i bought this playsuit for halloween when i dressed up as the all original 'cat', so it isn't available anymore..but i've found a close alternative here.

after holidaying for 2 weeks i'm going to try and blog a little more as i do really enjoy putting outfits together and posting them on here!

ATTIRE - horizontal love

 i struggle to find playsuits which are an appropriate length. the majority bare your bum and are reduced to only holiday wear. thankfully this asos playsuit has met my needs - i'll be able to wear it in the uk without being questionned on its suitability! i like how the stripes are a beige/yellow against the harsh black, I think it is more subtle on my pale skin tone than contrasting black and white. i've popped on my neon pink heeled sandals to add colour to the outfit. i had these heels on my asos wishlist for weeks and weeks...and then they got reduced to less than half price! being a bright colour, i like to add them with various outfits to add a summer vibe.

ATTIRE - sailor

i'm on a hair-straightening-ban, so ignore the lack of hair effort. i feel I always fall into the trap of washing and straightening my hair daily resulting in a blonde, dry, frizz  ball. so i'm giving it a break for a while to help my must-wanted hair growth! if you follow my instagram you would these shorts previously, I picked them up bank holiday weekend from zara. i love the shape and material - they are tailored, high waisted and thick! unfortunately my bank account couldn't stretch far enough to include the matching blazer (but i'm hoping i'll be able to save up for it and grab it soon!) I'm not one for crop tops, i have the jersey ones but they aren't that flattering. this crop top is identical to the one stocked in topshop recently, yet i'm sure it was less than half the price. i bought both the white and black version of this crop top - but honestly, the white one will be ruined with fake tan instantly so i just stuck with the black one :) (btw these sandals are surgically attached to my feet, so expect them in the majority of my upcoming posts - sorry not sorry).

ATTIRE - leather and linen

it's true - i am naturally drawn to black and white clothing. any season, any weather, white and black pieces are my go-to. my zara skort (here) is way to big on me this year...meaning a new white skirt was necessary. i snapped this linen white skirt up from asos during their 20% discount, i'm pretty sure asos sizes are getting bigger and bigger...i got a 6...which is still loose?! so definitely size down. anyway,  i'm trying to save this skirt for my holidays (in less than 3 weeks!) to avoid any marks! I've worn my dorothy perkins leather top and trusty cobalt sandals :)

the holiday countdown is nearly over and my holiday shopping is seriously lacking. i seem to be buying more everyday/ UK clothes rather than holiday pieces ugh. i love all 5 items here. i think next really out do themselves in the shoe department, whenever i go in there is always another pair i want in my wardrobe (this pair is one of 3 i'm eyeing up atm). you've probably seen the triangl hype on instagram and i'm joining it. the reviews of their products, both swimwear and underwear are amazing, if i had the budget i would definitely splash out. personally, i think topshop is too expensive, but i am liking these simple items. this ss, my wardrobe has been bombarded with blue items and shorts...so this pair from topshop fit the trend!

ATTIRE - the original

probably my favourite zara buy of all time is this white skort. i know virtually everywhere does a version of the skort now but the zara original is zeeee best one. i thought zara would bring the skort out again this ss following the obsession with them last year, but hey ho. i have the red zara skort too but it's too big on me now. i literally wore my skorts everyday last summer! they're a great staple item, they go with everything and can be worn day and night. i've paired my skort with a chiffon black blouse (which i have totally over worn) and some peach sandals.

when i was younger i had a gorgeous pair of spanish market espadrilles which i never wore because they were so impractical. so i thought i'd never buy another pair again, but these caught my eye when they came onto the asos new in page. i wore them all day saturday walking about a food market and then shopping in birmingham and they didn't rub at all. i cant be doing with summer shoes that rub! we don't have enough good weather to 'break them in' so they need to be perfect from the first wear. the denim dress was a random impulse buy, i had 20% to exploit so just chose anything. it was a good random buy though! for winter i'm planning to pop on some thick black tights and my black boots.
